The plaque in question is located in Via di Montoro, in the Regola district, and commemorates the Venerable Mary Ward (Mulwith 1585-Heworth 1645), an English nun, founder of the Congregation of English Ladies, also known as the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who between 1622 and 1625 founded a school for the poor children of the district in Rome, in the nearby Via di Monserrato. The plaque was placed here by the Municipality of Rome in 2012.
